The Lennoxville & District Women’s Centre is committed to its mission of Empowering and Connecting English Speaking women and their families in the Estrie 05 Region through Education, Support and Advocacy.
The LDWC is a meeting place, an educational forum, a resource centre, a networking point, and a safe space. Our activities are developed to target the needs of women in our community.
Our Family Programming includes Playgroup for mothers and pre-school aged children; an English- prenatal course; A Parenting series – the Parent Tap: Discussions designed to tap the potential in every parent.
The S.K.I.L.L.s series explores topics of health and wellness in all its facets. The goal of these workshops is to make self-care a more accessible practice for busy women.
Our OWLS (Outstanding Wise Ladies Sharing) meet every week for discussions and activities. The ladies also welcome guest speakers and attend special outings. Our Painting and Bridge groups are also popular with our members.
The members of the LDWC are women who believe in and support the mission of the LDWC. Many of these women have worked alongside staff, board, and volunteers, helping us to fulfill our mandate and enrich the lives of women in our community. Special Activities:
16 Days of Action to End Gender & Sex Based Violence ( November 25 to December 10)
A series of articles contributed by 12 writers addressing different issues related to violence in our community.
International Women’s Day Banquet (March 8)
An annual themed Banquet in celebration of women in our community. Good food, games, auctions and friends!
